P5K VM Boot CD

Well, theres no much to add to the title. With this CD you can boot and install a retail Snow Leopard 10.6 disk on your P5K-VM board or similar. Also includes a post-install package with all the drivers you need, and a small guide (read it!)
For download link see the sidebar--->>>

Its been very long...

Hi everyone, Its been quite sometime since I wrote things in this blog as I didnt work on those prepatched ISOs anymore. Time has proved it was the right thing to do; people has moved on to retail disc install methods which is far better.
But even though I stoped making ISOs I didnt loose the interest in x86 scene and contribute time to time with some patches and a couple of boot cds for specific hardware (P5K-VM board and HP6720s notebook).
Lately I found in the need to keep those little contributions on the surface so they can be access by anyone who need them, and because the fact that at IM the information is being buried with nonsense post by noobs and spammers I would rater posting here those things I consider usefull.
So, more to come soon

XxX_x86_10.5.6_Install_Disc_Universal_Final.v2

I just put a new ISO up. The "Final.V2" Integrates PPF3 and unreleased PPF4. This will be probably the last update I do on the ISO. The main new feature is GFX EFI strings right from the installer. Besides that the new ISO is now read-only to avoid changes in the filesystem and therefore unmatched MD5...There are also a few more drivers and tools....
Almost forgot: I've added DPCIManager and XFolders to the Utilities installer's menu. With DPCIManager you can get a list of your hardware (with DEV ids); Is not much but is better than nothing. XFolders is there in case you need to replace any files on the hardisk.

XxX_x86_10.5.6 PPF3

So thats the last update to the ISO, which intended to be FINAL release, but after all I found the need to update a few things. Get it at the usual tracker

This
should be used ONLY on XxX_x86_10.5.6_Install_Disc_Universal_Final.iso
(MD5: DDA0229709C2305659760341E1ABAE75)
As the ISO mounts as 'read-write' by default its content can get changed very easily (even by browsing through). Make sure you have the right MD5 checksums before and after applying the PPF.

Main features:
-NVidia extended support for over a 250 different NVidia 7xxx, 8xxx, 9xxx cards
-Updated Radeon HD drivers
-Better organization of the installer menu items
-Some obsolete drivers removed
-Few more drivers and fixes.

I have not atempted to fix the SB6
00 SATA problems; theres mixed results so I cannot know exactly what the problem is. For those people with SB600 problems I recommend generating a custom kextcache for your own system and replace the one inside the ISO.
Also I want to add a special note: With this ISO you can get a clean vanilla install (no modified/hacked files). The 'Default' option installs some basic kexts you will need to run on PCs, but you can uncheck this as well if you are using alternative boot methods like 'Munky's EFI partition'.

XxX 10.5.6 final ISO out

The XxX 10.5.6 final iso is up to download on the usual tracker. Although the installer has nearly the same options as before (includes the PPF1 and the unreleased PPF2) this is a whole new ISO based on 10.5.6 retail disk (build 9G66). All the problems some of you were noticing on the Rev 2 ISO (localization bugs, DVDPlayer.app, couple of missing dependencies) were related with the fact that this ISO was based on a 10.5.4 disc, with a integrated (no so well as it seems) 10.5.6 combo update on it, and on top of that some of you were installing old language pkgs which I think are not fully compatible. With this new ISO you can get a completely clean retail installation (full unmodified vanilla) if you wish.
Besides that main highlight theres a few more small additions:
-AnV 10.5.6 kernel (AMD/Intel) -based on Voodoo source
-Nforce mpc67 boot support
-NVkush custom ram bug fixed
-mkextMaker.app bug fixed

In case you need to install any language pack use the XxX_Language_Pack v2 (it will be uploaded after the ISO start having enough seeds) to avoid incompatibilities.

XxX_Language_Pack

Due problems people reported related with installing extra language packages (Finder crashing, pref panes with strange characters, etc) I decided to release a language post-installer with all the pkgs missing in the ISO. I've done some tests here and the bugs seems to be gone, so please re-test and let me know.
